Since the mid of April and towards the beginning of May 2021, Mercy Corps completed the verification and baseline process for 80 households under Resilient Youth, Socially, and Economically (RYSE). The 80 household heads also received ‘Financial Literacy’ training in Ajloun, Mafraq, and Irbid. Using the graduation approach, the program seeks to address fundamental barriers inhibiting the most vulnerable youth from effectively participating in the economy.

Beginning in June, Mercy Corps will proceed in the enrollment of another 114 households as part of the RYSE project target group. The activities will incorporate mentoring visits, group visits, household based businesses, employability, and  group training in the following areas: Personal Life Planning, Enterprise Business Challenge, and Social Protection. Training programs are planned to run from 18 to 24 months.
